River Open Member-Guest Golf Tournament

You’re invited to attend the River Open Golf Tournament, sponsored by River Community Church, Prairieville and River Church South, Gonzales and First Presbyterian Church, Baton Rouge.

This is a fellowship event for members of these three congregations and their friends.  Church member players are encouraged to bring and pay for at least one, or as many as three, guests, who do not belong to their church.  It is possible to just register for yourself.  But hopefully, most registrations will be for two, three or four players (i.e. one member plus one or more guests). 

The point is to invite friends to a fellowship event in a Christian setting.  The tournament is followed by a barbeque dinner at the “Lakes” pavilion.  Dinner is included in the fee for golfers.  Adult guests (spouses, etc.) are $10.00, and children are free. 

To reach Pelican Point from Baton Rouge, take exit 179 off of I-10. At exit 179 turn right onto Hwy 44.  It’s three miles to the Pelican Point entrance.  Follow signs to “Lakes” course (there are two 18 hole courses in Pelican Point.  The other one is named “Links”). Driving time from Siegen Lane and I-10 is 20 minutes.

Date of tournament: Friday, April 30th, 2010 (Registration deadline is Sunday, April 25th).
Location: Pelican Point Country Club, Prairieville, LA

Time: Shotgun start at 1 p.m. Arrive by 12:30.
Fees: $120 for member and guest.   Includes tournament cost and dinner.  
    Additional guests $60 each.
Dinner: Barbeque at the “Lakes” Pavilion at 5 p.m. Bring your family.  Golfers, included in tournament fee. All other adults, $10. Children, free
