Prayer Ministry

  • Wednesday Evening Prayer Service

A Most Important Hour in the Life of First Presbyterian Church

“What will a man give in exchange for his life” the Bible asks? I would change this just a bit and ask instead, “What will a First Presbyterian Church member give of themselves in exchange for an outpouring for God’s blessing?”

Each Wednesday evening a small but dedicated group of members gather in the Dunham Chapel to pray for the ministry of First Presbyterian Church.

We pray for the pastors and staff, our outreach near and far and for the lost of the community and world. We are asking God to fill our sanctuary with Christ-lovers, hungry for TRUTH and a freshness of God’s Holy Spirit.

Most of us know what 2 Chronicles 7:14 promises;  "when two or three gather in Jesus’ name and ask according to His will, God will answer."

We believe that there is great strength in numbers as well. I would not even presume to ask you to pray about attending but rather ask, “Will you sacrifice an hour each week to pray to the Lord of the harvest together for an outpouring of His grace, mercy and abundant blessings upon our great church? We need every one of you. We gather at 6:00 p.m. Wednesdays in Dunham Chapel.

  • "For Prayer" List

We love to pray for each other and for those dear to us. Each Friday, a list of names is compiled of people we feel called to pray for. If you would like to add you or a loved one to the prayer list, please contact Vicki Lindrew at 387-0617 or vicki@fpcbr.org. Be sure to give her your email address as the week's list is distributed via email or a hard copy can be picked up at the church's Connection Center in the Sanctuary Building.
  • After Service Prayer

After each Sunday's 9:00 am service, an intimate gathering of folks gather in the Bride's Room adjacent to the Dunham Chapel for prayer time.  All are welcome to join us as we pray for whatever is weighing on your heart.  Dick and Judie Gates would be glad to have you.
