WINTER/SPRING TRIPS
Polar Thang - January 13th - 15th, 2012
This retreat is packed! We drive to Tyler, TX to be with several other churches for an action filled weekend. The weekend is designed for our 6th-8th graders and their friends. The weekend guarantees to have funny skits, trail rides, small group time, soccer fields, climbing walls, and The SCREAMER! This escape to nature invites students and adult leaders alike to worship their creator.
Polar Thang Work Crew – Jan 13th - 15th, 2012
Don’t worry High School students there is a place for you too! That’s right – WORK CREW! This is a time where you get to serve the middle school students through setting up recreation, serving meals, cleaning tables, giving out “happies”, and loving campers. You play a big role in the success and excitement of the camp!
Ski Treat - February 18-22, 2012
Watch out for that mogul! We are heading out to throw snowballs and avoid the bead throwing (Mardi Gras). Our high school students are invited to go skiing in Colorado!!! This trip includes 3 days of skiing and 4 nights of worship. This trip is relaxing, fun, and will encourage you in your faith…just make sure you bring warm clothes! Leaving at 8:00am Saturday morning and returning at 6:30pm Wednesday.
SUMMER TRIPS
New Orleans Mission Trip - May 27th – June 1st, 2012
Middle School students needed! This is our middle school mission trip, but it is open to high school students too. This is a way to care for and love our neighbors in New Orleans. The trip is designed to help a specific New Orleans neighborhood and teach students how to look for ways to help those in need. Every evening is filled with the sights and sounds of New Orleans: Café du Monde, Plum St., snow cones, and much more. This trip is making a difference in the community and in the lives of students as they learn more about serving others. Leaving at 5:00pm Sunday and returning at 7:00pm Friday.
Jamaica Mission Trip - June 9th - 16th, 2012
Anybody want a Mango? This trip is our high school international mission trip. We travel to Mandeville, Jamaica to build houses, minister to the sick at the infirmary, and love kids in an orphanage. On arrival, you begin making new friends immediately because you are put on a work team with diverse people from different churches and different cities from all over the USA. There is a job for every person and every talent. It could be filling buckets with cement
for roofs, digging holes to help with plumbing, playing with children, or singing with men and women who need hope. The week is filled with many interesting aspects. In the evening we have a large group worship service, games, local cuisine, and family time with your church. While there we also attend a Jamaican church service, go to the market, and of course climb the Dunns River Falls. It is hard to leave Jamaica without feeling a passion for serving God and without feeling loved and appreciated for the time and energy you gave! Leaving at 3:00am Monday and returning at 7:00pm Wednesday.
Fun In The Son - July 7th – 13th, 2012 (leaving at 12:01am)
Who doesn’t like the beach? Each year the High School students head out to Padre Island, TX for a few days of fun in the sun!! The time is divided up between lazy beach moments and some incredible teaching, recreation, and worship. Every year is an exciting experience learning more about God and having Fun in the Son! Returning home Friday morning at 10:00am.
The Great Escape - July 23rd – 28th, 2012
Are you ready for this? This is our Middle School summer camp in Florence, MS at Twin Lakes Camp. Each cabin has a chance to be a part of horseback riding, sports tournaments, worship, ropes courses, and of course, CRAZINESS! You will not be lacking for fun each day. Each day gives you an opportunity to participate in some of the wildest recreation and challenges. Just ask your friends about CRUD WAR! Each night offers you a chance to hear from our speaker, worship, and spend time with your church. This week is definitely a Great Escape! Leaving at 8:00am, July 18th and returning 2:00pm on July 23rd.
Great Escape Work Crew – July 22nd - 28th, 2012

You play a big role in the success and excitement of the camp! We will meet at 5pm on Sunday, July 18th for Brandon, MS! Leaving Sunday, July 17th, at 5:00pm.
FALL TRIPS
Break Away - 2012 Dates TBA
Breakaway is our only 7th – 12th grade retreat. We travel to Florence, MS with ten other churches for a weekend getaway. Our time is spent on a beautiful camp property with canoeing, soccer, Frisbees, and exciting RECREATION!
This retreat falls a few weeks into the school year and is a time to get recharged. The speaker, music, games, and each aspect are designed to help you grow closer to God. This Break Away will leave you passionate about Christ! Leaving at 5:00pm Friday and returning at 5:00pm Sunday.
