Acoustic Communion Service

Acoustic Communion

We call it, “The Acoustic Communion Service.”  (or the A.C. for short…and yes, we’re stealing from that high brow drama known as the “O.C.”)  The A.C. is liturgical yet casual, simple but deep, evangelical but richly formative.  We set out to create a service where the rich history of the church would be embraced, while the connectional nature of a contemporary church was present.  The service follows a gospel movement: from praise of Jesus, to confession, then to the preaching of the Word, and ultimately, climaxing in the reception of the Lord’s Supper.
In an age of “come and watch” church, we are placing a high value on participation.  We believe God wants our worship- not the worship of a few, religious professionals, but the worship of all who place their trust in him.  Our goal is for the church to participate in communion with Christ, We love when people join us in that mission.
If you are looking for a place to connect, to participate, to commune, please join us on Sunday morning at 11:15 in the FPC gym.  For more information, please contact alec@fpcbr.org.
